Hannah Hewitt, a British nurse, met Palendar Singh on a social media podcast during the first wave of COVID-19. Hewitt was a resident of Manchester and Singh worked in a private firm as a sales manager in Agra.
The two hit it off, discussed their likes and dislikes, exchanged facts about their cultures, and shared telegram and email IDs with each other. The couple fell in love and decided to marry when the pandemic was over and things began to return to normalcy.
The couple also talked to India Today. Hewitt told the interviewer that she would try her best to mould herself according to Indian culture and learn Hindi.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are one such pair. It was Jonas who sent our ‘Desi Girl’ a text. He wrote, “I am hearing from a few mutual friends that we should meet.”
To this, Chopra replied, “My team can read this. Why don’t you just text me?”
After that, the rest is history. The two are proud parents to a baby girl and pet parents of three dogs.
Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja have also met each other online. They initially met on Snapchat and started talking there. Kapoor asked Ahuja to “Stop texting, just call me.” Many other celebrity couples have also met online. The two are married and have a son, Vayu.
