Will The High Court Be Closed For Mauni Amavasya Holiday?
If you’re a lawyer or a civilian who had some work at the Allahabad High Court in the upcoming day, you might want to take note of a recent notice published by the Allahabad High Court about the upcoming Mauni Amavasya holiday. The notice just released by the Allahabad High Court read, “January 28, 2025, and January 29, 2025, are declared as holidays in the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad on account of holidays as indicated in the orders issued on May 17, 2025 (Saturday) & August 24, 2025 (Saturday) are declared as extra working days."
As per the notice, the Allahabad High Court will remain closed from January 28, 2025, till January 30, 2025. This decision was taken to avoid mishaps and chaos due to the inflow of devotees and pilgrims for the Mauni Amavasya Snan.
Mauni Amavasya 2025: Date And Time
In 2025, the auspicious day of Mauni Amavasya will be observed on January 29, 2025. As per the sacred Drik Pachang, the timing of the Amavasya Tithi begins at 7:35 PM on January 28, 2025, and ends at 6:05 PM on January 29, 2025.
What Is Mauni Amavasya?
Every year millions of devotees and pilgrims from around the nation and some even from outside the nation flock to the Maha Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj. Mauni Amavasya is one of the most sacred days of this mela. This day holds a special significance as it is the day for the nectar bath or Amrit Snan. This is when devotees take a dip in the sacred waters of the Triveni Sangam. This nectar bath or Amrit Snan is believed to cleanse people of their sins and bring purification.
