If you’re a lawyer or a civilian who had some work at the Allahabad High Court in the upcoming day, you might want to take note of a recent notice published by the Allahabad High Court about the upcoming Mauni Amavasya holiday. The notice just released by the Allahabad High Court read, “January 28, 2025, and January 29, 2025, are declared as holidays in the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad on account of holidays as indicated in the orders issued on May 17, 2025 (Saturday) & August 24, 2025 (Saturday) are declared as extra working days."

As per the notice, the Allahabad High Court will remain closed from January 28, 2025, till January 30, 2025. This decision was taken to avoid mishaps and chaos due to the inflow of devotees and pilgrims for the Mauni Amavasya Snan.

In 2025, the auspicious day of Mauni Amavasya will be observed on January 29, 2025. As per the sacred Drik Pachang, the timing of the Amavasya Tithi begins at 7:35 PM on January 28, 2025, and ends at 6:05 PM on January 29, 2025.
