Liger: Vijay Deverakonda, Ananya Panday Starrer Gets Mixed Reviews On Twitter

Liger is a pan-Indian sports film that released on August 25. Produced by Dharma Productions, it has Vijay Deverakonda, Ananya Panday, Vishu Reddy, Ronit Roy and Ramya Krishna playing crucial roles.

The much-hyped film also has American boxer, Mike Tyson, as a guest star. It is Deverakonda’s Hindi film debut and Panday’s Telugu debut. Despite high expectations, Puri Jagannadh’s film has bagged mixed reviews on Twitter.

Kumar Swayam wrote that the movie looked like a tribute to Bruce Lee. He found Deverakonda’s introduction best in this movie after Arjun Reddy. He found Liger to be top-notch.

Ahad called the film excellent and one of the bests among films that have showcased the journey of a wrestler. According to him, Deverakonda, Panda and Tyson played compelling parts.

A user called Liger 'a good mass commercial entertainer'. He commented that the first half could have been better. However, he found the film to be entertaining. He called it a ‘feast for masses’.

These were the positive reviews. But there are Twitter users who did not like the film. The pan-India movie fell flat to them because of its storyline, acting and direction.

Anurag Tilak called it a ‘disastrous movie’. He did not like Panday’s performance and found the plot and screenplay to be bad and predictable.

Swami Naidu wrote that Panda did not fit the criteria of a heroine. He did not like Liger.

I think Vijay is not ready to come out of Arjun Reddy any time soon....and his fate continues along with his character both off screen and on screen.

A user tweeted that Deverakonda tried his best to pick the film. However, he did not like it. According to him, the movie was ‘pretty average at its best’

Peter wrote that the first half was ordinary. He said that Deverakonda’s X factor was missing, and he found stammering a bit annoying. He also added that the plot was predictable.
