Liger: Ananya Panday & Vijay Deverakonda Seek Blessings From His Mom, See Pics

Liger starring Ananya Panday and Vijay Deverakonda will be released in theatres on Aug 25, 2022. The lead duo is extremely excited about their first pan-India film and is promoting it in full swing.

From Punjab to Hyderabad to Chennai, they are travelling across India to promote the film and are receiving immense love from their fans. They have managed to create a good buzz as Liger, as well as Ananya Panday and Vijay Deverakonda, are trending all over the internet.

Along with all the promotional events, the duo went to Deverakonda’s house in Hyderabad to attend a pooja ceremony for the success of the film. Sharing a few pictures from the ceremony, Ananya wrote, "Blessings from Vijay’s amma @deverakonda and a pooja at his home in Hyderabad for #Liger #Thankful #Grateful #Blessed thank you auntyyyyy".

In the pictures, Deverakonda and Panday can be seen sitting on a sofa with their hands folded while Vijay’s mother, Madhavi can be seen tying ‘dhaaga’ around their wrists and blessing them. In the last picture, we can see the ‘dhaaga’ tied on their wrists.

Both the actors are wearing western clothes but have added a touch of ethnicity by wrapping bright dupattas around them. On the other hand, Vijay’s mother can be seen in a green saree.

Ananya Panday thanked Vijay’s mother for the blessings and the wonderful pooja ceremony.

Directed by Puri Jagannath, this sports action film was shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu. It stars Vijay Deverakonda in the titular role of an MMA fighter who has a stutter. The character of Liger was born and raised on the streets of Mumbai. This will mark Vijay’s debut in Hindi cinema while Ananya’s debut in Telugu cinema.

The film is all set to release at the end of August, and after seeing the trailer and songs, we are sure that it will be a treat for the audience.
