Finally, a movie will feature Lady Gaga as a comic book character. She is anticipated to play Harley Quinn, the Clown Prince of Crime's accomplice, opposite Joaquin Phoenix in Joker 2. In the past, Margot Robbie portrayed Harley Quinn. The much-anticipated movie's sequel was earlier revealed. Todd Phillips has named the follow-up Joker: Folie à deux.

Several months ago, rumours began to circulate that Lady Gaga was being considered for the role of Harley Quinn in the forthcoming Joker sequel, and that it was set to be a musical. In the new teaser, it is revealed that Joaquin Phoenix will be returning to the role of Joker. He won the Oscar for best actor thanks to his performance in the 2019 film. The teaser is set to the song Cheek to Cheek, which Gaga has famously covered alongside musical legend Tony Bennett.
It seems that Warner Bros. has found Harley Quinn to be a bankable character. The character was voiced by Kaley Cuoco in the well-known HBO Max animated series Harley Quinn, which is in its third season. Margot Robbie has performed the part three times: in the 2016 film Suicide Squad, the 2020 film Birds of Prey, and the 2021 film The Suicide Squad.

The Joker sequel, in which Joaquin Phoenix returns to his role as Batman's most infamous antagonist, will make its theatrical debut on October 4, 2024. It will be five years since the debut of the first movie. The smash hit Joker from 2019 will be followed by a musical even though the original was a dark and gritty thriller-drama (Best Detective Series To Binge Watch!). The R-rated tentpole Joker was intended to be a standalone movie, but after it made more than $1 billion worldwide and won Phoenix an Oscar, a sequel was imminent.
