Ashika Ranganath To Play The Role Of Devakanye In Suni’s Upcoming Gatha Vaibhava

Ashika Ranganath is working with director Suni yet again. The actress, who first collaborated with the filmmaker on Avatara Purusha Part 1 and will be in the second instalment as well, is also the lead of Suni’s ongoing project with newcomer Dushyanth, Gatha Vaibhava. Dushyanth is the son of Karnataka MLA SR Srinivas.

Director Suni announced their latest collaboration with a fun video which was by Ashika and Dushyanth. In the video, Suni is seen having a meeting with Ashika about working with a newcomer, to which she responds that she’d rather work with established heroes now. Suni then writes a bunch of figures about her payment for Avatara Purusha 1, 2 and now Gatha Vaibhava and slips it to her. The promised number, of course, has Ashika then singing a different track and agreeing to be part of the film immediately.

Suni and Dushyanth had earlier announced a film called Robin Hood, but the project fell through. They later got back together for another film, Gatha Vaibhava, which is said to be a thriller with elements of romance (Romantic Destinations In India That Are Perfect For Your Summer Honeymoon).

The shooting of Gatha Vaibhava is halfway through, and Ashika is said to have completed shooting 30 percent of her portions. The team plans to reveal the details of other characters closer to the wrap. Judah Sandy, who had previously teamed up with Suni for Operation Alamelamma and Chamak will be composing music for Gatha Vaibhava. William David who recently worked in Vikrant Rona will be handling the cinematography. Ullas Hydoor is taking care of the art department. Ashika’s other projects include Avatara Purusha 2. She also has Raymo, starring Ishaan and directed by Pavan Wadeyar, which is likely to be out in September. The actor is also part of a medical thriller (Best Detective Series To Binge Watch!) O2, made under the PRK Production banner.
