Sita Raman: Twitter Declares Dulquer, Mrunal, Rashmika Starrer 'Best Romantic Film'

Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, Sita Raman released on August 5. It stars Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur and Rashmina Mandanna in lead roles. Soon after the film released, Twitter was flooded with positive reactions from viewers. The Telugu movie has been declared one of the best romantic films ever by Twitterati.

A user named Thalaivar Thalapathy called it “a blockbuster”. He tweeted, “One of the best movies ever made in the Romantic genre. A perfect love story with mixed emotions.”

He praised the performances delivered by Salmaan, Thakur, and Mandanna and called their characters ‘fantastic’.

Another user loved the performances by Salmaan and Thakur, and also called the movie one of the best in the romantic genre.

Buddhi Yagna Murthy called this film one of the best works by the director Raghavapudi. He rated it 3.5 out of 5.

Another user finished watching the film and posted their review on Twitter. He called it a “pure mesmerising unique love story.”

Eshwar Prasad wrote that he came out of the theatre “emotional and with a heavy heart.” He called the interval and climax ‘soulful’.

Tarun wrote that the movie has a good plot. It has a decent love story with good production design, superb visuals, and making. He very much liked the last 30 minutes of the movie.

Sita Raman

Sita Raman is the Telugu debut of actor Mrunal Thakur who was last seen opposite Shahid Kapoor in Jersey. She is portraying the role of Sita Mahalakshmi. Salmaan is playing the role of a military officer, Lieutenant Ram, and this is his second film in this language after Mahanati.

Mandanna is in the supporting role of Afreen in the movie. According to reports, several scenes have been shot in Russia, Kashmir, and Hyderabad. It has also been dubbed in Tamil and Malayalam languages.

Other actors in the film include Vennela Kishore, Sumanth, Prakash Raj, Sachin Khedekar, Murali Sharma, Shatru, Bhumika Chawla, Tharun Bhascker, Jishnu Sengupta and Gautham Vasudev Menon.

Mrunal Thakur is predominantly a Marathi and Hindi film actor who made her television debut with a soap opera called Mujhse Kuchh Kehti… Yeh Khamoshiyaan. For Love Sonia, she received critical acclaim and won the Best Newcomer Award at the London Film Festival. Her upcoming projects include Pippa, Pooja Meri Jaan, Gumraah and Aankh Micholi.

Dalquer Salmaan

Salmaan is primarily a Malayalam actor who has worked in a few Hindi, Tamil and Telugu films. His work in the Hindi language includes Karwaan and The Zoya Factor. The actor has received several awards and will be next seen in Guns and Gulaabs Netflix India film.
