Janhvi Appreciates Her Father Boney Kapoor Making His Acting Debut At 66

Bollywood actor Janhvi Kapoor followed in her mother’s footsteps and made her acting debut with the film Dhadak. Since then, she has gained quite a bit of popularity. For those who don’t know, she is also popular filmmaker-producer Boney Kapoor’s daughter.

Now, Janhvi Kapoor’s sister Khushi Kapoor and father Boney Kapoor are also all set to make their respective acting debuts in Bollywood. Khushi Kapoor is going to star in Zoya Akhtar's upcoming film, The Archies. The film is based on a popular comic series of the 1960s and will be released on Netflix in 2023. On the other hand, Boney Kapoor is going to star in Luv Ranjan’s next. This has excited Janhvi Kapoor.

In a recent interview with Good Times, the Dhadak actor lauded her sister and appreciated her father for trying something new at his age. She said, "Doesn't Khushi light up the screen? Honestly, if you look at my sister objectively, with an open mind and heart, she's so pure that you can see it on her face. Even I'm my father's senior. It's amazing that he got to try his hand at something new at this age. We have hardly been together of late, given our schedules. Papa is in Chennai. Khushi in Ooty, and I'm shooting halfway across the world. I just want to wrap up work and be with my family."

Even though Janhvi Kapoor started working in the industry in 2018, she didn’t work with her father. However, now the father-daughter duo have worked together (with her father being behind the scenes of course) for their latest project, Mili. The first look and teaser of Mili were released yesterday and it seems like a promising film. After Boney Kapoor bought the rights to remake the Malayalam film in 2020, the Hindi film finally went on floors in August 2021 and wrapped up in November of the same year.
