Today was a treat for Janhvi Kapoor fans as the first look posters along with a teaser video of her upcoming film Mili were unveiled. The film is slated to have a theatrical release on November 4, 2022.
The first-look poster was dropped by her father, filmmaker Boney Kapoor on social media. He introduced her character in the upcoming film as Mili Naudiyal, a 24-years-old graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing. The poster featured Kapoor smiling back while carrying a backpack and captioned the poster as “In 1 hour her life is going to change… #Mili”

An hour later, he shared another poster of Mili on social media where Kapoor is featured freezing wrapping herself with her own arms with red nose and cheeks captioned- “Frozen but not shaken.”

Another hour later, the makers dropped a 48 second teaser video captioned “DYING TO SURVIVE!” In the video, Kapoor is seen stuck inside a freezer as her face turns red due to the cold. She is seen rubbing her hands, banging the walls, fighting, struggling, and not leaving any stone unturned to get herself out of the place. The teaser video also has a glimpse of Sunny Kaushal riding a scooty.
Produced by Boney Kapoor, the upcoming film is the official Hindi remake of the 2019 Malayalam film Helen directed by Mathukutty Xavier, which has also been remade into Tamil, titled Anbirkinyal. Helen stars Anan Ben in the lead role along with Lal, Noble Babu Thomas, Aju Varghese, Rony David, and Binu Pappu in pivotal roles. The original Malayalam film won two National Film Awards – Best Debut Film of a Director and Best Make-up Artist (Ranjith Ambady). In the film, Helen works at a Chicken Hub where she is later locked inside the freezer by mistake and has to survive -18 degrees. During the struggles to get out, she fractures her leg, gets frostbite, and bleeds through her nose. She is finally rescued after five hours and taken to the hospital right before she was about to reach the last stage of hypothermia.

The upcoming film marks the first venture of the father-daughter duo. After Boney Kapoor bought the rights to remake the Malayalam film in 2020, the Hindi film finally went on floors in August 2021 and wrapped up in November of the same year. The music for Mili is composed by A. R. Rahman and lyrics by Javed Akhtar.
