The new episode starts with Rhaenyra giving birth to her son, and soon after, Queen Alicent Hightower sends help to request the immediate presence of the newborn. Rhaenyra dresses up and takes the child herself to meet her estranged friend and stepmother.
Laenor names him Joffrey. Viserys says that the newborn has a nose that looks like his father, whom he presumed was Ser Laenor. The couple exchanged glances before Laenor asked if they should take leave as the princess was tired.
By the gate, Alicent mentioned to the prince that if he tried hard enough, sooner he would have a child that would look like him, pointing out he was not the father.
Rhaenyra and Laenor return to their chamber, where their two older sons have already chosen a dragon egg for Joffrey. Ser Harwin, the Commander of the Knight’s Watch, was present with them. He asked to get acquainted with the newborn while Laenor and the older sons leave.

While Ser Criston is on Alicent’s side, he is also the teacher for King and Rhaenyra’s sons. However, he seems to teach only Aegon and Aemond.
Seeing it, Ser Harwin points out that a teacher must bestow each of his disciples with similar knowledge. Criston puts Jacaerys, Rhaenyra’s eldest against Aegon, Alicent's eldest.
While the King’s firstborn emerges a winner, Ser Criston remarks that Jace might be Harwin’s son. Hearing this, the two get into a fight. Later, Rhaenyra learns of the issue and fears that the truth might soon turn into a big problem for her and her sons.
Rhaenyra Proposes Marriage Of Her Son

However, this did not settle well with the Queen, and in a conversation with Viserys, she said that his daughter was desperate to hide her treachery to which he always turns a blind eye.

In another scene, Laena was shown in labour. However, she couldn't give birth. Her attendant suggests that a blade cut was the only way to relieve her of the misery, however, it was clear that neither the mother nor the child would have survived it.
Laena asks her dragon to burn her. It resisted but ultimately did carry out the command he was given.
