Holika Dahan Dry Coconut Remedy
Holika is one of the important rituals which is celebrated a day before Holi. This day is marked by the tale symbolising the victory of good over evil. On the day of Holika Dahan it is believed that people should turn a dry coconut over themselves and put the same in the burning fire. As per astrology, it is believed that this act can bring relief from bad omen.
Worship Goddess Lakshmi
It is also believed that one should worship Goddess Laksmi on the day of Holika Dahan. Other than this feeding Brahmins and giving donations to them can bring good fortune.

Applying Gulal
According to astrology, the application of Gulal or coloured powder on the feet of elders brings good luck and prosperity. It is also believed that this ritual helps purify the soul and improve one’s karma.

Don’ts For Holika Dahan
Apart from the rituals, there are certain things that one must avoid during Holika Dahan (Holika dahan rituals). As per astrology, consuming drugs or alcohol during Holi is believed to bring negative energies and can lead to misfortune. Moreover, it is advised that one should avoid using harmful chemicals and synthetic colours during the festival as they can cause skin issues and are harmful to the environment as well. As per astrology, one should avoid engaging in arguments or conflicts during Holi. This is because engaging in unnecessary conflicts can lead to a negative influx of energy and disrupt the positive vibes of the festival.
