It is being told that the groom seen in the video is a resident of Bihar and the groom is the son of a teacher and is also a government servant. In this video, the groom is heard saying that if his demand is not met then he will not marry and the procession will go back. Along with this, the groom said what is the harm in asking for a dowry. It is still very common to ask for dowry, I didn't get it, so you guys know me, but if I did, you didn't know.

After reaching the stage, the groom said that if the family does not fulfill his demand, he will take the procession back home. Along with this, the groom said that the family should have married according to his status. He says that he does a government job, so his demand should be fulfilled. In such a situation, on the matter of the groom, the bride says that he gave as much as he asked for and only 1 lakh is left. But, on this, the groom says that he has not even given the gold chain and ring yet and says that he will not marry until he gets all this.

Dowry Is A Crime In India

Indian criminal laws have been extensively amended to include the practice of demanding dowry as a punishable offense. Section 304B was added to the Indian Penal Code, 1860 ("IPC"), which declared a specific offense punishable with a minimum of 7 years of imprisonment and a maximum of life imprisonment.

It is not at all convincing from the fact that even in today's age people and those educated, are promoting evil practices like dowry.
