The star-studded action drama movie hailing from Pakistan, The Legend of Maula Jatt is all set to hit the silver screen in India. The larger-than-life production helmed by Bilal Lashari first hit a whopping $10 million globally and entered the biggie 100 crore club. And the latest numbers have doubled its success to $20 million worldwide. This surely would have gotten the co-producers, Faisal Rafi and Bilal Lashari under the production banner of Crew Motion Pictures jumping with joy. This movie is a sequel to the 1979 cult classic Maula Jatt. The yesteryear musical was another hallmark of Pakistani cinema.

While the announcement of the release has caused much anticipation among Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan’s fans from their good old Humsafar days.

The perfect treat for their souls will be that the celebrated on-screen pair will now be seen together after the longest time and recreate their OG quintessential magic. The movie also stars celebrated names from the Pakistani entertainment industry, Hamza Ali Abbasi and Humaima Malick.

In a dramatic dialogue which is featured in both the 1979 and 2022 movies, the antagonist Noori Natt says to a new prisoner, “Nawa aya e sohneya?” meaning “Are you new here, dear? The despotic and evil character then kills this new inmate for daring to disturb him during dinner.
