Good for us, Delhi Haat has put out an exclusive exhibition featuring major crafts right from the divine land of Ladakh.
Organised by the Department of Industries & Commerce, Union Territory of Ladakh, the exposition will make you fall in love with Ladakh’s products, culture, cuisines and most importantly their highly skilled craftsmen, as everything displayed at the hub is to die for! Like all other INA Delhi Haat’s flashes, the current Enchanting Ladakh Exhibition, which will end on 29th February, has everything that one can find back in Ladakh. The timings are from 10:30 AM till 09:00 PM.

The small and marginal salesmen, producers and villagers have come from their native land to put out an exhibition featuring masks, beautiful clay and metal pots, paintings, carpets, sublime dresses, footwears, pashmina shawls, and coats. Not only this, the exhibition is full of quirky toys, such as well-formed miniature leopard and yak pieces. For those who love to adorn their personal spaces with idols and showpieces, the exhibition has many splendid options for you too, especially elegant Buddha statues. Other than that, there are embroidered wall hangings, table clothes, cushion covers and much more. Those who are looking for subtle decorative pieces, you will definitely find a lot of options at this market.
No celebration is considered complete without some lip-smacking delicacies, and the Enchanting Ladakh Exhibition is no exception in this case. The locals of Ladakh have arrived with all there specialties. You will get the signature dish called, chutagi, which we popularly know as soup dumplings. Then there are momos with different stuffings, thupka, paba and much more. You can either try items separately or can go for a platter, which will offer all the main offerings together. Since a lot of Ladakhi villagers have come all the way to the national capital, you will have ample sources to know more about their food.

Last but by no chance the least, elaborated cultural programmes. The Tibetans are famous for their rich cultural heritage, which will be showcased every day during the exhibition. Starting from 05:30 in the evening, the skilfully trained artistes are presenting their folk dances, such as Jabro, performed by both men and women, clad in their traditional attires. Beautifully choreographed presentations are a complete eye-candy!
