Bhediya Box Office: Varun Dhawan-Kriti Sanon Starrer Holds Its Pace On Weekdays

Bhediya, the Hindi film starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, has been reportedly maintaining its pace on weekdays as well. After collecting approximately ₹28.55 crore nett on its first weekend, the film is standing at ₹39 crore on its sixth day.

The film opened at ₹6.75 crore nett and saw a fair growth on Saturday. It went on to collect ₹9.25 crore on its second day which, as per Box Office India, might not be as much Bhediya needed but it comes as a piece of positive news for the film industry that the numbers tend to get better on Saturdays.

The film saw a growth of 25-30% on Sunday and collected around ₹11 crore nett, which is good but lower than expected. After its Sunday collection, the film’s total earnings summed up to around ₹28 crore nett. But following this, Bhediya saw a drop on its first Monday and collected ₹3.25 crore nett, ₹3 crore on Tuesday and ₹3.20 on Wednesday. It might not be very high but competing with Ajay Devgn starrer Drishyam 2, which has already crossed ₹150 crore in two weeks and still holding on to its pace is noteworthy.

Directed by Amar Kaushik, Bhediya is written by Niren Bhatt and produced by Stree and Roohi producer Dinesh Vijan. Dhawan plays the role of Bhaskar, who is seen turning into a werewolf in the trailer video while Sanon plays the role of a doctor named Anika. The film also features Abhishek Banerjee and Deepak Dobriyal as Dhawan’s friends.

The film might not be performing tremendously at the box office, but it has garnered praises from all over for its VFX and the director has received critical acclaim from fans as well as celebrities from the film industry.
