With Adipurush being criticised for its dialogues, premise, and VFX, Shemaroo TV has announced on June 27 that Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan will air again on television from next week. The retelecast of the mythological epic will bring back so many memories. We will again enjoy watching our favourite show back on television. Last time it happened during the pandemic, and we got to see many behind the scenes and pictures from the sets of the show on social media. These pictures are gold and we can't thank the technology enough to taking us back to the good times!
Dipika Chikhlia Topiwala, the actress who played the role of Sita, shared an old picture from the sets. She captioned it, “Sita ji with her sisters.”

She also shared another picture that has the entire cast of the show. She captioned it, “Epic pic of the entire team of Ramayan cast and crew. Sagar saab with his son and below them are the direction team and camera team ... Barring Ravan, almost all were there. Only when we look back, do we know what all we have left behind. So many of the cast no more. RIP to them all."

Just like all of us, the cast of Ramayan is also excited about the retelecast of the show. They are watching the show with their families. In an interview, Dipika Chikhalia shared that when they were shooting they got to watch the show only on the edit table.

She also shared that it is a good time to retelecast the show. She said, "It is a very good feeling to know that the show is coming back. And also this is the right time when Prakashji decided to re-telecast it. People will get benefited. It is very important that people make use of the re-run and watch it, despite the presence of many channels. They should also utilise the lessons that they get from the show. Every one should value our culture."
Arun Govil AKA Ram in an interview shared how the show re-run will bring back people together and also positivity during this lockdown period. He said, "The new generation will get a chance to watch it. They will get to understand the morals, teachings, and values of Ramayan. If they will watch it with the family, they can interact also. If they have queries then their family members of the older generation can explain things. It is a family show. How relationships should be...has been shown in the show. Positivity is there. Right now there is a lockdown, you can't go anywhere. So watching it will be a good way to use the time." A picture of him watching the show with his family also went viral on the net.

One of the most popular shows of its time, Ramayan aired during 1987 and 1988. It starred Arun Govil as Ram, Sunil Lahri as Lakshman, Arvind Trivedi as Raavan and Dara Singh as Hanuman. The show is now re-run on television twice and getting the same love from the audience.
