Alia Bhatt And Ranbir Kapoor Face Troll Attacks, Can We Stop Judging For Once?

It was a dark day, we lost veteran actor Rishi Kapoor on 30th April 2020, just a day after Irrfan Khan's sudden demise. The death of the two gems of Bollywood sent shock waves across the country. Meanwhile, pictures and videos from Rishi Kapoor's funeral started circulating online.

In the pictures, one could see Alia Bhatt, teary-eyed, standing next to Neetu Kapoor and holding a phone in her hand. Netizens being netizens, showcased their insensitive side by brutally trolling Alia Bhatt for using her phone and recording Rishi Kapoor's funeral.

Even before I take you to the troll attacks she faced, I want you to think if recording or clicking pictures of your loved one at their funeral is even a thing you would think of. When you lose someone, your loved one, the last thing you would do is use a phone for clicking or recording them at their funeral. But what made Alia Bhatt record it? How can she be so insensitive? Social media users clearly don't care if the situation is so sensitive and are quick to jump in for some trolling.

Why Alia Bhatt Was Holding Her Phone During The Funeral?

"Wahh Alia Bhatt to Ekdum aaram se video bana rahi hai. Matlub Yeh kya mazzak ho rha hai kya?" Now that is one comment I came across on one of the pictures from the funeral. Quickly another user attacked the troller back saying, "shut up don't say anything without knowing the reason okay? She might be video calling riddhima 😒 u guys just know how to troll someone without any reason!!!"

Another comment read, "Alia bhatt itni overacting mat kar." My heart cried as I read such insensitive comments on the post. However, many other users came to Alia's rescue. One user replied, "day u will know when u will cry for someone and some cruel person like u will say look at her how overacting she's doing."

"Guys Alia might be face timing Ranbir's sister since she's not there .. don't judge her," commented another one.

Alia Bhatt was actually face-timing Ranbir Kapoor's sister Riddhima Kapoor who couldn't even attend her father's funeral as she couldn't travel to Mumbai from Delhi due to the nationwide lockdown.

But that's not all, let's come to Ranbir Kapoor and his 'outfit' for his father's funeral. Don't be stunned, that was another topic of discussion on social media as Ranbir Kapoor performed the last rites at father Rishi Kapoor's funeral.

Social media users turned into fashion police when pictures and videos of Ranbir Kapoor from his father's funeral went online. He was wearing a blue denim shirt and ripped denims and trollers didn't really like his attire, they felt it was inappropriate for the occasion.

One can't imagine the mental state of someone who has lost their loved one suddenly but all we can do it be a little sensitive, I feel. If we can't share their pain, we can atleast not make fun of their emotions while they pass through such a difficult phase. High time we stop judging and shaming celebrities or just anyone and show some humanity at least in times like these.

Time we stop pulling people down on social media just for fun. I feel it won't even make a difference if we go ahead and lash out to each and every troller on these pictures and videos because well, that would anyway not work for these anonymous people sitting behind their screens, posting personal attacks on social media to feel good maybe?
