The Unique Identification Authority of India has extended their deadline for updating Aadhaar card details from June 14, 2024, to September 14, 2024. This allows more time for Indian citizens to ensure proper information on their Aadhaar cards. For the citizens who were issued their Aadhaar card over ten years ago and have never updated, the UIDAI recommends they submit their identity and address proof for revalidation. How To Update An Aadhaar Card Online?

Here’s how you can update your Aadhar Card online:

Step 1: Visit the official website of UIDAI.

Step 2: Log in using your Aadhaar number and one-time password.

Step 3: Now verify your identity, name (father's and husband names details on aadhar) and address details.

Step 4: You can update your address and phone number in your Aadhaar.

Step 5: Now upload the required documents, address proof and identity documents.

Step 6: Submit your consent.

Please note that your biometric information like fingerprints, facial photographs, and iris scans cannot be updated online. You will have to visit your nearest Aadhaar updation centre to get these biometric updates. Additionally, your date of birth and gender can only be updated once. Also, you don’t have to pay any money while updating your Aadhaar online. So, keep yourself safe from the frauds happening around.

How To Update Aadhaar Photo?

Here’s how you can change your Aadhaar card photo online:

Step 1: Visit the UIDAI website.

Step 2: Download the Aadhaar enrollment form.

Step 3: Fill all the required details.

Step 4: Visit your nearest Aadhaar enrollment centre and submit the form along with your biometric details.

Step 5: Your live photograph will be taken at the centre and you will receive an Update Request Number slip.

Step 6: Keep the slip to track the status of your Aadhaar updation.

Follow the instructions to update your Aadhaar card online before the last date.
