Ingredients

  • ½ cup dried cranberries
  • 2 tbsps chopped almonds
  • 2 tbsps chopped pistachios
  • 3 ¼ cups coconut powder
  • ¾ cup full fat milk
  • 1/3 cup khoya
  • ½ to ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • Desiccated coconut powder to roll the Laddoos in

Step

  1. Step 1:

Heat 1 tbsp of ghee in a heavy kadhai.

  2. Step 2:

Take the almonds, cranberries and pistachios and fry lightly until nuts turn just golden.

  3. Step 3:

Take it off from the heat and transfer in a plate.

  4. Step 4:

In the same pan, add coconut, milk and mix. Cook for couple of minutes.

  5. Step 5:

Add sugar, khoya and mix. Cook until everything is mixed well and the mixture is dry and aromatic (around 4-5 minutes). Do not burn.

  6. Step 6:

Add roasted nuts, cranberries, and cardamom powder and mix it all. Cook for another half a minute.

  7. Step 7:

Take the laddoo mixture off the heat and cool until just warm and not too hot.

  8. Step 8:

Take a small amount of mixture onto your palm and start making the laddoos depending upon the size you prefer to make.

  9. Step 9:

Repeat the same for all the mixture.

  10. Step 10:

Once done, roll each laddoo into coconut powder and keep.

  11. Step 11:

Refrigerate it for an hour and serve. Tip: Theses laddoos are best stored for 4-5 days in the fridge.
