How To Make Honey Butter Fried Chicken Recipe:

Honey Butter Fried Chicken Recipe

1. In a bowl, combine the chicken thigh pieces with salt and black pepper. Mix well to ensure the seasoning is evenly distributed. In a separate bowl, mix the cornstarch and baking powder.

2. Now in another bowl, beat the egg.

3. Dip each piece of seasoned chicken into the beaten egg, allowing any excess to drip off. Dredge the chicken pieces in the cornstarch and baking powder mixture, ensuring they are fully coated. Place the coated chicken pieces on a plate or a tray.

4. In a deep skillet or a wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. The oil should be deep enough to submerge the chicken pieces.

5. Once the oil is hot and ready for frying, carefully add the chicken pieces in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry until the chicken is golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per batch.

6. Use a slotted spoon to remove the fried chicken from the oil and place them on a wire rack or paper towels to drain any excess oil.

7. Now in a small pan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and saute until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.

8. Add in the brown sugar, light soy sauce, and honey. Let the mixture simmer for a few minutes until it thickens slightly.

9. Add the fried chicken pieces to the skillet with the honey butter sauce. Toss the chicken in the sauce until each piece is well coated.

10. Sprinkle the toasted sesame seeds over the coated chicken and toss again to ensure even distribution.

11. Transfer the honey butter fried chicken to a serving platter.

12. Serve with a garnish of chopped green onions and your choice of drink.
