In Marvel’s latest film ‘Thunderbolts*’, the team Yelena Belova, US Agent (Walker), Taskmaster, Ava (Ghost), Red Guardian (RG), and Bob, are sent to eliminate Valentina’s lingering ties to Ox Corp, just as Congress pushes to impeach her for corruption. Only Bucky Barnes, now a congressman, stays behind, working the investigation from Washington.
Yelena and her team arrive at an Ox Corp base hidden a mile underground. What begins as a mission quickly becomes a setup. Taskmaster is killed by Ava early in the operation, revealing Val's betrayal. The team is locked in an incinerator, but Ava phases out and returns, helping them escape via an elevator shaft using a fire hose.

As they flee, each teammate who touches Bob experiences disturbing visions. Yelena, who forms a strong emotional bond with Bob, takes the lead in protecting him. The team escapes in disguise but is stopped by guards. Bob causes a distraction and reveals his powers, launching into the sky before crashing back down, causing a blast that sends their escape vehicle over a cliff.
Yelena insists they save Bob. Red Guardian arrives in his limo to warn her that Val wants her dead. They escape again but are soon captured by Bucky, who later learns Bob is a dangerously unstable Sentry candidate. Meanwhile, Val connects with Bob, encourages him, and tests his powers, only to get a glimpse of his dark past.
The group reunites and heads to the old Avengers Tower, now Val’s secret lab. There, Sentry, fully suited brutally, defeats the team. When he turns on Val, Mel triggers his kill switch. Sentry collapses, but the damage is done.
As chaos ensues and the Void, a dark entity linked to Bob emerges, the team saves civilians but loses many to the spreading darkness. Yelena disappears into the Void, facing her and Bob’s past traumas. Eventually, the team rescues both and escapes the Void.

In a final act of manipulation, Val traps the team at a press conference and introduces them as ‘The New Avengers.’ Yelena whispers, ‘We own you now,’ as they accept their new title. This moment marks a pivotal identity shift, no longer the ‘Thunderbolts*,’ they are now the face of a rebranded team.
Red Guardian is seen posing next to a New Avengers-themed Wheaties box in a grocery store, trying to impress shoppers. A woman quietly takes the box but leaves it behind, another humorous nod to the team’s mixed public image.
Fourteen months later, the team is in their new HQ. Sam Wilson is suing them for trademark infringement. RG suggests rebranding as the ‘New Avengerz’ in a pit crew-style sweatsuit. Yelena mentions a “space crisis,” and Bob confirms he won’t unleash Sentry due to the risk of the Void. Suddenly, an incoming vessel appears on their screen—it’s the Fantastic Four’s rocket, complete with their logo and theme.
