Actor Prabhas’s much-anticipated horror-comedy ‘The Raja Saab’ enjoyed an impressive opening at the Indian box office, but the film has witnessed a significant slowdown after its first weekend. As per Sacnilk data, the film recorded a steep fall in collections on its first Monday, bringing its five-day India net total to approximately ₹114.66 crore across all languages.
Directed by Maruthi, the film benefited from strong advance bookings and festive buzz, particularly in the Telugu-speaking belts. However, weekday fatigue and mixed word-of-mouth have impacted footfalls sooner than expected.

According to Sacnilk’s live tracking, ‘The Raja Saab’ opened on a robust note with a paid preview on Thursday, followed by an exceptional first Friday. Collections then showed a consistent downward trend over the weekend before crashing sharply on Monday.

The Telugu version continues to remain the film’s biggest contributor. On Day 4 alone, Telugu collections stood at approximately ₹4.73 crore, while the Hindi version added ₹1.75 crore. Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam versions contributed marginal numbers, indicating limited traction outside the core market.
In an unusual post-release move, the makers recently added new scenes featuring Prabhas. According to the production team, these portions were missed earlier due to a technical server issue. Interestingly, some visuals shown in the trailer, including Prabhas in an older, striking look, were initially absent from the theatrical cut, prompting curiosity among fans.

Backed by People Media Factory and IVY Entertainment, ‘The Raja Saab’ features an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar and Zarina Wahab, along with several prominent supporting actors.
The film hit theatres on January 9, 2026, and the makers have already announced a sequel titled ‘Raja Saab 2: Circus 1935’.
