Tere Naam re-release has completed three days in the theatres with a steady performance at the Indian box office. Salman Khan and Bhumika Chawla starrer film has collected around ₹75 lakhs during the opening weekend.

Originally released on August 15, 2003, the classic film was directed by Satish Kaushik and considered one of Salman Khan's best performances, beyond his 'action hero' roles. The film gained huge appreciation for its storyline, casting, and music, and it also drove fans crazy about Salman's character Radhe's unique hairstyle.

Tere Naam Plot

Tere Naam has an intense, tragic story that revolves around the lives of Radhe Mohan (Salman Khan), who is a former college rowdy and Nirjara (Bhumika Chawla), who is a soft-spoken college student. Their lives change when they fall for each other. Initially, Radhe obsessively falls in love with Nirjara, but she declines, terrified by his violent behaviour. Later, when Radhe saves Nirjara's sister, her perspective changes, and she develops feelings for him.

Just when the two prepare to be together, Radhe is attacked by his rivals and eventually sustains severe head injuries, resulting in a complete loss of memory. His family is forced to admit him to the mental asylum, where he faces harsh and brutal treatment.

Over time, he slowly recovers his memory and escapes the asylum just to discover that Nirjara has committed suicide in the pain of their separation. Finally, he voluntarily returns to the asylum, accepting his fate.
