Tamil Film Minmini: Movie Review, Twitter Reactions, And More

Tamil film ‘Minmini’ directed by Halitha Shameem marks the music direction debut of Khatija Rahman, the Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman’s daughter. The film will be released in the theatres tomorrow but a special screening was held recently. After watching the movie, AR Rahman said, “Any news about Khatija will have millions of people taunting her for it. I believe she has answered them all with her work. May God bless her with much more success. Halitha and Khatija feel like new voices. Be it the direction, or her conviction, this is the first time I am seeing something like this in Tamil. Khatija’s work is really good, and she has set a standard for herself.”

Reviewing the movie, AR Rahman said, “There are people who are running away from Tamil cinema (Kannada Movies) because it is too violent, but this film will bring them back. Minmini will get fans for Tamil cinema. I have seen Khatija’s progress over the past ten years. After giving up on music midway, she resumed it later and has gained the confidence to do music. What is really important is a director’s vision and the team. She is lucky to have got this team, as it is a good team that complements our talent further.”
