Rani Mukherji starrer action-packed movie series Mardaani is all set for its third instalment. The makers of the movie announced the film’s release date. YRF took to Instagram to share the release date. They captioned the post, “The countdown begins for #Mardaani3! On Holi, good will fight evil as Shivani Shivaji Roy returns to the big screen on February 27, 2026.”

The movie will hit the big screens on February 27, 2026. YRF had earlier shared a poster on Instagram that featured the title of the movie along with the names of the director Abhiraj Minawala and producer Aditya Chopra. They captioned the post, “The wait is over! #RaniMukerji is back as the fierce Shivani Shivaji Roy in #Mardaani3. In cinemas 2026.”

Rani Mukherji starrer Mardaani series was kicked off in 2014 with its first instalment. Directed by Pradeep Sarkar, the movie featured Rani Mukherji in the lead role, alongside Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jisshu Sengupta and Anant Vidhaat Sharma in the crucial role. The movie received several accolades and appreciation, including Best Sound Design at the Filmfare Awards, Best Villain (won by Tahir Raj Bhasin) at the Screen Awards and Best Thriller – Action Actress (won by Rani Mukerji) at the Stardust Awards.

Rani Mukherji is seen as Shivani Shivaji Roy, a dedicated cop who works tirelessly against criminal activities like child trafficking, rape, and murder. Rani was last seen in the movie Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway, which was released in 2023.
