Varun Sharma, Pulkit Samrat, Richa Chadha, Pankaj Tripathi, Manjot Singh starrer Fukrey 3, the much-anticipated sequel of the comedy franchise made it to theatres today. Mrighdeep Singh Lamba's third directorial from the franchise was quick to make buzz post its announcement and honestly, I couldn't help but make it to the theatre with positive expectations.
For starters, this sequel of Fukrey delivers more than just punches in a span of 2 hours and 25 minutes. Just when you predict it might close on a funny note, team Fukrey bangs in a powerful message and leaves you pondering.
So, would it be a good idea to watch Fukrey 3? Is it worth skipping your sleep schedule this weekend? Well, to break it down simply, it is and to ease it for you, here are 3 reasons you shouldn't miss Fukrey 3.
Once again you get to step into this quirky world where Hunny, Choocha, Lali, Bholi Punjaban, Pandit Ji (Zafar bhai AKA Ali Fazal was missed!) continue to get into troubles, encounter the tough Bholi Punjaban and struggle to make it big. None from the ensemble cast has moved a bit from the flavour of the franchise. Choocha being Choocha plays the naive, goofy guy, and shines like never before.
Pulkit Samrat AKA Hunny Bhai aces the hand holding and makes it seem like a smooth sail. Bholi Punjaban in full character, sharp, witty, Manjot Singh continues to be in his fun element and Pankaj Tripathi AKA Pandit Ji is the powerhouse who syncs it all. Makers also introduce another antagonist to the narrative in this sequel and he is a treat to watch. (No spoilers here as promised!)
Fukrey 3 doesn't disappoint in terms of the comic timing, the punches are well-placed, and some of them might make you want to whistle loud. Filmmaker Mrighdeep Singh Lamba hasn't changed the essence a bit, it goes smooth as an entertaining comedy. COVID did leave us stuck in this world of OTTs and we aren't complaining but if you have been craving to step out for a lighthearted film at the theatre that leaves your ribs tickling at short intervals, this is just the one for you.

The climax stands out for me, it is funny, powerful, and engaging, and it makes you crave more. Keeping the no-spoiler deal, it is something each one of us will relate to. As the trailer suggested, the makers do dunk the plot in politics but as they take that route, it only gets funnier and by the end of it, it touches a subject that the country should already start taking seriously before it's too late.
Fukrey 3 is not another run-of-the-mill comedy flick. It is a blast of a film, you end up stepping out with a wide smile while longing for more. Fukrey is certain to beautifully add to the evolving cinema craze post releases like Jawan (Jawan Box Office Collections), Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Fukrey 3 is a movie you would want to go to with your friends, family, or just alone, it doesn't leave you weary.
