Coolie Box Office Collection Day 19: Rajinikanth’s Mega Film Maintains Strong Run With ₹279.27 Cr

Rajinikanth and Nagarjuna's action entertainer ‘Coolie’ faced significant Monday blues on the 19th day of its release, collecting merely ₹0.05 crore according to Sacnilk reports. The film, which was released on August 14, 2025, has now accumulated ₹279.27 crore across all languages in its theatrical run.

Despite entering its third week, ‘Coolie’ demonstrated weekend strength in recent days. The film's third Saturday recorded ₹2.8 crore, marking a 64.71% jump from Friday's collection of ₹1.7 crore, which had been the lowest single-day collection until Monday.

Sunday's performance reached ₹3.22 crore with a 15% increase, showing audience interest remains during weekend periods.

Coolie Box Office Collection Breakdown

Week 1 Dominance (Days 1-8):

The opening week established ‘Coolie’ as a major box office force with ₹229.65 crore. Tamil collections led with ₹149.95 crore, while Telugu contributed ₹51.6 crore and Hindi markets added ₹26.05 crore.

The film opened with ₹65 crore on its first Thursday, followed by ₹54.75 crore on Friday. Weekend collections of ₹39.5 crore (Saturday) and ₹35.25 crore (Sunday) showed typical post-opening patterns.

Week 2 Stability (Days 9-15):

Second week collections totalled ₹41.85 crore, representing an 81.78% drop from the opening week. However, the film maintained consistent performance with weekend surges.

Saturday and Sunday of the second week recorded ₹10.5 crore and ₹11.35 crore respectively, while weekdays showed expected declines.

According to Sacnilk data, Day 16 had previously held the record for the lowest collection at ₹1.7 crore before Monday's dramatic drop.

Coolie Star-Studded Cast

‘Coolie’ features an ensemble cast headlined by Rajinikanth and Nagarjuna in key roles. The film includes Rachita Ram, Shruti Haasan, Soubin Shahir, Upendra, and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles.

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan makes his much-anticipated Tamil debut with the film, while Pooja Hegde appears in a special cameo. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj has positioned ‘Coolie’ outside his Lokesh Cinematic Universe, creating a standalone star-studded spectacle.
