According to the latest reports from Sacnilk, ‘Chhaava’ wrapped up its opening weekend with ₹116.5 crore in India, thanks to a massive ₹48.5 crore haul on Sunday alone. The film kicked off with a strong start, earning ₹31 crore on its opening day. Its momentum only grew from there, with collections rising to ₹37 crore on Saturday (a 19.35% increase) and then soaring to ₹48.5 crore on Sunday (a 31.08% jump).
By Day 4 (Monday), the film added another ₹0.52 crore to its tally, pushing its total domestic earnings to ₹117.02 crore. This milestone marks ‘Chhaava’ as the sixth film in Vicky Kaushal’s career and the eighth for Rashmika Mandanna to enter the coveted ₹100 crore club.

Set against the backdrop of Maratha King Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s life and his struggle against Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb, ‘Chhaava’ has struck a deep chord with audiences in Maharashtra. The film’s portrayal of this revered historical figure has sparked immense pride and interest in the state, prompting theatres to add more shows to meet the overwhelming demand.
Interestingly, over 50% of the film’s earnings on Sunday came from regions outside Maharashtra, showcasing its widespread appeal across India. Positive word-of-mouth has played a key role in keeping the film’s momentum alive, even as it faced the usual Monday slowdown.
With ‘Chhaava’’s phenomenal performance, it has already become Vicky Kaushal’s third-highest-grossing film, surpassing the collections of ‘Sam Bahadur’.
