How To Lighten Stretch Marks At Home? 3 Home Remedies
We spoke to Dr Spoorthy Nagineni, MD DVL, a Consultant Dermatologist at Zennara Clinic, to get insights into home remedies for lightening stretch marks. These are the three home remedies that can help lighten stretch marks:
Moisturisers For Lightening Stretch Marks
Dr Spoorthy Nagineni shared, “To help prevent stretch marks, one can use moisturisers containing cocoa butter, almond oil, and Centella Asiatica. These ingredients can reduce the likelihood of stretch marks, though they do not guarantee complete prevention.”
Centella Asiatica
Centella Asiatica, or Gota Kola, is a plant that helps prevent and lighten stretch marks. As per dermatologist, Dr Spoorthy Nagineni, moisturisers containing Centella Asiatica can immensely help in lightening and preventing stretch marks.
Manage Your Weight
Stretch marks can be avoided by keeping a steady weight and avoiding sudden changes in muscle mass or weight. These changes can cause collagen to break down, which exacerbates the development of stretch marks.
