Keeping the fact in mind that many of us are on work from home taking care of our eyes is crucial. We are also sitting in front of a system almost the entire day which can lead to eye weakness. But celebrity nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar, , who has also helped actress Kareena Kapoor in getting into shape, has suggested foods that are goof for eye health.
Taking to her Instagram account, Rujuta wrote 5 foods that "can be consumed for "better eye health in the age of increased screen time".
Mango
Mango is a summer fruit that most of us love but did you know that it is packed with an antioxidant called beta-carotene? This antioxidant is said to help in lowering the effects of the damages from free-radicals in our eyes. It is also known to help in preventing macular degeneration in the eyes. A good source of vitamin A, mango is said to be good for eyesight and fight dry eyes.
Cashew Fruit
This is a major source of Zea Xanthin, which is an antioxidant pigment that helps in fighting several eye infections, that may be caused due to pollution. It creates a protective layer on the retina to prevent the harmful UV rays.

Sweet Potato
A rich source ofvitamin A and beta-carotene, sweet potato which is also known as shakarkandi, is excellent for good eye health. It also has anthocyanin, which can heal dark circles and puffy eyes.
Karela or Bitter Gourd
This vegetable may bot be liked by some but it is said to helo in fighting vision-related issues that includes cataract. It also has beta-carotene and vitamin A, which helps in strengthening eyesight. Karela is also known for fighting dark circles.
Ragi
Ragi is very rich in polyphenols which are said to be known as anti-cataract potentials and they also aid eye health. Ragi has many other health benefits and even actresses Priyanka Chopra and Hina Khan love it as they keep you full and help in weight loss and they also contribute when it comes to managing blood sugar levels and diabetes, that are two reasons for causing cataract.
