Sara Ali Khan was about 96 kilos a few days back, a chubby regular kid and she put in a lot of hard work to transform herself into a stunning actress today. In the past, she has spoken about her transformation a lot but many don't know how she finally achieved it. Well, it is never easy! Even after losing those kilos, one needs to stay dedicated to maintain the weight. Sara believes that diet plays a key role in weight loss and that is why she still focuses a lot on her diet to maintain her weight.

On her weight loss journey, Sara in an interview said, "I weighed 96kg and had a year to go before I graduated. The transition from pizza to salad and from lethargy to cardio is how I kickstarted my fitness journey. I simply started eating healthy and began working out when in New York".

Varun took to his Instagram story and shared this picture of Sara's lunch plate. This one had a bowl of sabzi, ragi or bajra roti and three slices of cucumber.

Now you know what Sara Ali Khan has for lunch to maintain her fitness. Well, it's not easy, looking at the size of the roti but you need to be dedicated to following a diet like this one.

In several interviews, Sara has shared her love for food. She likes having homemade food. Sara is a fan of chicken and eggs too.

Sara's weight loss journey has not been easy. In an interview, she shared how she worked hard to maintain this discipline in her life. She said, โ€œJahaan aapko pizza milta hain, wahin aapko protein milta hain. Jahaan pe chocolate milta hain, wahin aapko salad milta hain (On one hand you could eat a pizza and on the other, you could have protein, on one hand, you could get chocolate and on the other, you could eat salad). That was it. So, I lost all the weight that I gained there and lots more by working out and maintaining a disciplined life.โ€

But not like Sara Ali Khan eats anything! She follows this diet for 6 days and Sunday is her cheat day. Sara doesn't even workout on Sundays. In an interview, Sara shared, "I like to change things up, but ensure that I work out for an hour and a half every single dayexcept on Sunday, because thatโ€™s my day to chill."

Recently, Sara shared a video of her mother from a South Indian restaurant where on the table we could see a big dosa. Looks like this was her cheat meal.
