6 New Vande Bharat Trains Launched
Six new Vande Bharat trains were recently flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Jharkhand. The newly launched trains will be operating on the routes of Brahmapur-Tatanagar, Tatanagar-Patna, Gaya-Howrah, Deoghar-Varanasi, Bhagalpur-Dumka-Howrah, and Rourkela-Howrah.

Addressing the gathering at the launch via video conferencing, the Prime Minister said, “I bow down to Baba Baidyanath and Baba Basukinath, the land of Birsa Munda. In the morning, when I reached the Ranchi airport, a lady welcomed me by offering me a 'Jawa' on 'Karma Parv.' During this festival, the sisters pray for the well-being of their brothers. Jharkhand has got the blessings of development today, six Vande Bharat trains were flagged off, and lakhs of people will be getting pucca houses.”
He further added, “Today, the state has been provided with six new Vande Bharat trains, railway projects worth over ₹650 crores, enhanced connectivity and travel infrastructure, and the added benefit of thousands of people receiving their own homes under the PM Awas Yojana. I extend my heartiest congratulations to the people of Jharkhand for these remarkable development initiatives. I congratulate people on the new Vande Bharat trains.”
New Vande Bharat Trains: Routes And Schedule
Brahmapur-Tatanagar Vande Bharat Express
- Operation: 6 Days per week with Tuesdays being non-operational
- Route: 4th Vande Bharat Express Train For Odisha
Tatanagar-Patna Vande Bharat Express
- Operation: 6 Days per week
- Journey: 7 Hours approximately
- Route: Connects Tatanagar and Patna
- Departure: 6 am
- Arrival: 3 pm
- Return Departure: 3 pm
- Return Arrival: 11 pm
Gaya-Howrah Vande Bharat Express
- Commencement: September 18, 2024
- Operation: 6 Days per week with Thursdays being non-operational
- Journey: 458 kilometres (285 miles) in 5 Hours 40 Minutes approximately
- Route: Connects Howrah and Gaya
Deoghar-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express
- Operation: 6 Days per week with Tuesdays being non-operational
- Route: Connects Deoghar and Varanasi via the Kiul-Gaya route through the state of Bihar including a designated stop at the Nawada station.
Bhagalpur-Dumka-Howrah Vande Bharat Express
- Route: Connects three states, Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal
Rourkela-Howrah Vande Bharat Express
- Route: Connects Rourkela and Howrah with three stops along the way, the stations of Chakradharpur, Tatanagar, and Kharagpur.
- Departure: 11 am
- Arrival: 06:15 pm
