According to the reports, Prime Minister will be waiving the green flag for New Delhi-Srinagar Vande Bharat Sleeper train in January 2025. The train is manufactured by BEML and its design was conceptualised with the goal of comfortable and safe overnight and long distance journeys.

The cutting-edge train will be connecting the route from New Delhi to Jammu and Kashmir. As per a report by ETNOW.com, Indian railways intend to improve connectivity between the two places with the hope of extending the route to Baramulla.

The New Delhi-Srinagar Vande Bharat Sleeper will reportedly cover a distance of over 800 km in under 13 hours. Its departure is anticipated to be scheduled at 1900 hours from New Delhi and arrival is slated for 0800 hours in Srinagar the next day. Some of the major stops along its way include Ludhiana Junction, Ambala Cantt Junction, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Jammu Tawi, Banihal, Kathua, and Sangaldan.

“The Vande Bharat Sleeper offers flexible options to cater to various budgets. Passengers can choose between AC 3 Tier (₹2,000), AC 2 Tier (₹2,500), and AC First Class (₹3,000),” reported India Today.
