Kalpana Raghavendar Hospitalised After Alleged Suicide Attempt: On March 4, 2025, Telugu playback singer Kalpana Raghavendar was found unconscious at her home in Nizampet, Hyderabad, after what appears to have been a suicide attempt. As per the latest media reports it is said that the singer may have taken sleeping pills. As per PTI reports, the police found Kalpana unconscious and quickly took her to the hospital for treatment. The Residents' Association had alerted the authorities, prompting the police to rush to her apartment and break down the door to gain access.

The alarming turn of events began when Kalpana’s neighbours and apartment security noticed that her door remained locked for two days. When attempts to contact her went unanswered, the residential association reached out to her husband, who was in Chennai at the time.
As reported by Eenadu, Kalpana was found unconscious at her home in Hyderabad and is now receiving medical care. The situation came to light when the security staff at her apartment complex grew concerned after her door remained locked for two days without any sign of her. The residents' association made several attempts to reach her, but there was no response.
The members of the residents' association decided to call the police, who then forced open the door to her apartment. Inside, they found Kalpana unconscious and immediately took her to a private hospital in the city for treatment. Her husband, who had been in Chennai, has since returned to Hyderabad. According to reports, he confirmed that she is currently on ventilator support.

Kalpana Raghavendar is the daughter of renowned singer TS Raghavendra. Over the years, she has made several appearances on popular singing reality shows. She gained widespread recognition after winning the 'Idea Star Singer Malayalam' and participating in 'Bigg Boss Telugu Season 1'. In addition to being a playback singer, Kalpana is also a talented songwriter and actor.

A police official from the KPHB Police Station has confirmed that Kalpana's condition is now stable and she is no longer in immediate danger. Meanwhile, an investigation is underway to understand what led her to take such a drastic step.
