Golconda Fort

Hussain Sagar Lake

The Hussain Sagar Lake is quite literally the heart of Hyderabad. It is a heart-shaped lake that was built by Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah in 1563. Its main attraction is a giant, stunning statue of Gautama Buddha in the middle of it.

The lake portrays its real beauty during dusk when the sun sets and its surroundings lit up. The road surrounding the lake is known as the Necklace Road, and it has a lot of attractions for tourists.

Birla Mandir

Just next to Hussain Sagar Lake is the Birla Mandir, which was constructed by the Birla Foundation. The temple’s construction took ten years and was inaugurated by Swami Ranganathananda of the Ramakrishna Mission in 1976.

The temple is built on a hilltop called Naubat Pahad and captures the panoramic view of Hyderabad along with the beautiful view of Hussain Sagar Lake.
