Shahid Kapoor Reacts To Controversial Kissing Video With Ex Kareena Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor instantly clicked when they first met and soon their dating rumours made it to Bollywood's hot gossip. They were head over heels in love and the world knew it, no wonder years later today, we haven't forgotten the iconic couple. Be it on-screen or off-screen, the couple made us feel the love and it was distressing to see the two parting.

Back when the two were dating, they were quite vocal about their relationship. Kareena and Shahid began dating in 2003 and in 2004, a video of the two kissing each other passionately went viral on the internet. The two didn't comment on the viral video back then. However, recently, Shahid Kapoor in an interview reacted to the controversial viral video.

Shahid Kapoor On Leaked Kissing Video

In an interview with an entertainment portal, Shahid Kapoor shared how the leaked video affected him. He said, “I was destroyed at that time. I was a 24-year-old kid and I felt like my privacy had been invaded and I could not do anything to protect (myself). So I was a mess wondering ‘What’s happened, what's going on?' Of course it affects you a lot and at that age specially. You don't even know your own feelings and you're figuring out how to be with a girl and you're dating. You're both actors, in different places and then this happens.” (sic)

The interviewer further shared that three kids came to their office with the video from a club and were paid ₹500 for it. Kapoor further shared how nobody is interested in him now since he is married and has kids and the media has their focus on other 24-year-olds out there.

When Kareena And Shahid Slapped Legal Notices On A Tabloid

Other than the viral kissing video, a picture of Shahid and Kareena having a kissing moment at a restaurant in Mumbai made it to newspapers back then. Apparently, Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor issued lawsuits, asking for a formal apology, claiming that the pictures were morphed and they haven't visited the restaurant for months. As per a report by BollywoodShaadis.com, Bebo issued the media channel with a lawsuit of ₹20 Crores.

However, later, it was found out that the pictures weren't from their visit to the restaurant but screen grabs from a video clip shot on a phone. Reportedly, the media house didn't issue an apology citing that they weren't morphed and they didn't take the illegal route.
