From Sara’s Kedarnath To Soha’s Rang De Basanti, Here’ Why Saif Ali Khan Doesn't Watch Family Member’s Film

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is not just known for being an amazing actor but also for belonging to a royal family, in which most of the members are or have worked in the entertainment industry. Starting from Saif’s mother Sharmila Tagore to his daughter Sara Ali Khan, other than his father Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi almost everyone has worked in some blockbuster movies. However, you will be surprised to know that Saif does not watch most of the films of his family members. He has accepted this on several occasions. While he loves his film, the actor just seems a little reluctant when it comes to movies.

Back in the year 2007, when the actor appeared on an episode of Koffee With Karan along with his sister, Soha Ali Khan, he admitted that he didn’t watch the complete film of Soha’s chartbuster film of the year, Rand De Basanti.

The 49-year-old actor only saw the first half of the flick and didn’t watch the second half during the premiere. When asked by Soha that even after a year, why hasn’t he watched the film yet, the actor said, “There’s no reason it’s just that I don’t watch these many films.” He left the premier after watching half of the film because he went to attend Rishi Kapoor’s daughter Ridhima Kapoor's wedding.

Supporting his brother Soha said, “He did come to the premiere, which is very nice and supportive. He did stay for the first half, but he had to go. But, it has been a year though.” The Hum Tum star also admitted that he has not seen many of his mother’s films too. He said, “In my defense in would like to say that I haven’t watched most of my mother’s films such as Aradhana, Amar Prem, Mausam or any of those films.”

Not only this, surprisingly the actor has not even watched his beloved daughter’s debut film Kedarnath, also starring Sushant Singh Rajput.

Saif found it difficult to bring himself to watch his daughter's debut film. While on the other hand Saif’s ex-wife and Sara's mother Amrita Singh has seen some parts of the film, Saif hasn't watched anything, according to the 2018 media reports that also stated that the director of Sara’s film Abhishek Kapoor had sent feelers to Saif for the screening but he didn't have a look at them.

In fact, when Saif Ali Khan was asked if he has seen his daughter's film, he said, "No I haven’t seen Kedarnath yet. But, I will very soon." Also, the reports suggested that a source close to the actor spilled the beans about the real reason behind Saif's reluctance. The source said, "He is just petrified to watch Sara on screen. Kareena (Kapoor Khan) keeps urging him to watch Kedarnath. But, Saif keeps putting it off."
