The actor’s wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan just issued an official statement on her Instagram Stories. The statement reads, “It has been an incredibly challenging day for our family, and we are still trying to process the events that have unfolded. As we navigate this difficult time, I respectfully and humbly request that the media and paparazzi refrain from the relentless speculation and coverage. While we appreciate the concern and support, the constant scrutiny and attention are not only overwhelming but also pose a significant risk to our safety. Saif Ali Khan’s Mumbai residence in Bandra was reportedly intruded by a burglar around 2:30 AM on January 16, 2025. As per several media reports and a statement issued by the Mumbai Police, “The actor and the intruder had a scuffle. The actor is injured and is being treated. Investigation is ongoing,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police Dixit Gedam, according to ANI.

Saif Ali Khan’s Health Update
Saif Ali Khan is now stable and out of danger following surgery, according to Lilavati Hospital. He suffered multiple stab wounds during an attack at his residence. Dr Niraj Uttamani, the hospital's COO, reported that Khan had two minor, two intermediate, and two deep stab wounds, including a serious injury near his spine. The actor underwent 2.5 hours of neurosurgery and plastic surgery.

Neurosurgeon Dr Nitin Dange provided further details after the surgery, stating that Khan had sustained severe injuries to his thoracic spinal cord, including a knife lodged in his spine. Emergency surgery was necessary to remove the knife and repair spinal fluid leaks. Dr Dange confirmed that Khan is now recovering well and completely stable.
