The past weekend saw one of the most lavish and star-studded events of the year with the official launch of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai on March 31, 2023. Bollywood as well as international celebrities including Zendaya, Tom Holland, Gigi Hadid and Priyanka Chopra along with Nick Jonas and daughter Malti, among others graced the pink carpet of the event in gorgeous outfits.

The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) is a first-of-its-kind venue for the arts, which opened its doors in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex in October 2022. It promises to be a significant cultural monument which is dedicated to Nita M. Ambani, a businesswoman, philanthropist and longtime supporter of the arts.

The Jio World Centre, which is in the centre of India's financial and entertainment hub, is where the NMACC is located as well. It houses the nation's largest conference centre, retail hospitality establishments and more. The three-story structure will include facilities for both visual and performing arts. The Grand Theatre, The Studio Theatre and The Cube are three specifically designed performance venues. They were all built with cutting-edge technology to accommodate a variety of experiences, from private screenings and thought-provoking discussions to multilingual programming and international productions. The centre will also open The Art House, a four-story facility that will feature prominent artists from India and around the world.
Shah Rukh Khan Dances To ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai’ Song During NMACC Rehearsals
King Khan’s performance was one of the highlights of the three-day launch event gala party in which he performed on Pathaan’s title song on stage along with Varun Dhawan and Ranveer Singh. However, one of the most viral videos from the event is from the rehearsals with choreographer Shiamak Davar and performer Aneesha Dalal. In the video, the Badshaah is seen dancing to Le Gayi Le Gayi from his 1997 popular hot film Dil Toh Pagal Hai.

Designers Who Ruled NMACC
The pink carpet at the NMACC event was no less than a Met Gala red carpet. Netizens even went on with memes calling the event “desi” Met Gala. Bollywood celebrities and their outfits were a visual treat on all three days as they arrived in outfits designed by Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla, Sabyasachi, Manish Malhotra, Rahul Mishra, Falguni Shane Peacock, J J Valaya, Tarun Tahiliani, Anamika Khanna, Amit Aggarwal, Shantanu Nikhil, Shahab Durazi and Vaishali Shadangule, among others.

A 4-story Art House, a Pavilion, a Studio Theatre, and a 2,000-seat Grand Theatre are all part of the cultural centre that Mukesh and Nita Ambani opened. Nita Ambani's dream undertaking is the NMACC.
