Gangs Of Wasseypur

Sardar Khan is one of the iconic characters. Whenever we hear any reference of the film Gangs Of Wasseypur, his face instantly flashes in front of our eyes. Anurag Kashyap’s two-part gangster film marked the actor’s resurrection and gave us the Indian ‘Godfather’. While Sardar Khan is a mafia, he was a family man too who had a witty and satirical take on society.

Aligarh

Another career-defining film and a role that will stay with every Manoj Bajpayee fan for a lifetime is the 2015 Hansal Mehta-directed biographical drama Aligarh. His portrayal of a lonely, ageing and defeated man fighting for his right to live and love has not only won him several accolades but also our hearts.

The Family Man

After a series of serious roles for years and some commercial films to balance them, Bajpayee got the canvas and space to showcase his spectrum of acting in this Raj & DK’s Amazon Prime Video web series The Family Man. He plays the role of a middle-class NIA agent Srikant Tiwari who struggles to balance his family life and professional life. The action, satire, humour, drama, thrill and emotion makes Srikant Tiwari humane and real and relates to Bajpayee’s own roller coaster of a career.
