Bollywood actor Raveena Tandon has been honored with the fourth-highest civilian award, the Padma Shri Award for the year 2023. The announcement was made on the occasion of India's 73rd Republic Day. The Padma Shri is one of the highest civilian honors in India and is awarded for distinguished service in various fields.

Raveena Tandon’s Bollywood Career
Tandon has been a popular face in the Indian film industry for more than two decades. She made her debut in the film industry in 1991 with the film Patthar Ke Phool. Since then, she has appeared in several successful films such as Mohra, Dilwale, Andaz Apna Apna, and Ziddi, among others. Tandon's performances in these films earned her critical acclaim and established her as one of the leading actors in the industry at the time.
Though the volume of films she acted in lessened after 2004, but she did not stop working. She made her digital debut with the 2021 crime thriller series Aranyak on Netflix.

Raveena Tandon Beyond Acting
Apart from her successful film career, Tandon has also been actively involved in social causes. She has been associated with various NGOs and has worked towards the welfare of children and women. She is the brand ambassador of the National Children's Film Festival and has been actively involved in spreading awareness about child rights.
Tandon is also known for her work towards environmental conservation. She has been associated with various initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable development and has worked towards creating awareness about the importance of preserving the environment. In 2017, she was appointed as the brand ambassador for Sanjay Gandhi National Park in Mumbai.

Recently, the actor was also selected as a delegate by the Women and Child Development Ministry for the Women 20 (W20), the Women’s Empowerment engagement wing at the G20.
Apart from her social work, Tandon is also a trained classical dancer. She has been practicing Bharatanatyam, a classical dance form of India, since the age of eight. She has also performed at various cultural events and has been a part of several dance productions.
