Dixit is a trained Kathak dancer. At a young age of nine, she won a Kathak scholarship. Madhuri Dixit is the only female actor to have worked with Pandit Birju Maharaj. She was choreographed by the legendary master for movies like Devdas, Dedh Ishqiya and Dil Toh Pagal Hai.
