1. Jo Bo ah’s Debut Works
Jo made her acting debut in the daily sitcom ‘yg’ on JTBC in 2011. After that, she starred in the Korean-Japanese co-production ‘Koisuru Maison Rainbow Rose’ and hosted an audition program ‘Made in U’. She won her first significant role as a rich girl who falls in love with a rocker in TvN's ‘Shut Up Flower Boy Band’ in 2012. Later that year, she had a guest appearance in a supporting role in ‘Horse Doctor’, her debut network TV show. In 2014, she did her first movie ‘Innocent Thing’ where she played the role of a girl who becomes obsessed with her gym teacher.
2. Jo Bo ah Wanted To Be A Diplomat Or Flight Attendant

She opened out about her motivation for becoming an actor during a guest appearance on the show Ask Us Anything. Jo Bo Ah shared that, "When I was younger, I wanted to be a stewardess (flight attendant) or diplomat, so I studied English really hard. Thankfully, I was able to play a stewardess role in the drama The Man Living In Our House...I chose to be an actress because I could experience a variety of occupations."

4. Jo Bo ah Was Diagnosed With Encephalomeningitis
In August 2016, while filming for her Korean drama ‘Monster’. She was admitted to the hospital soon after, and later her agency released a statement stating about her health status. Jo Bo ah's agency Sidus HQ released a statement, saying, “Jo Bo ah was diagnosed with encephalomeningitis in the hospital today. While she does need additional checkups, because the drama is in a situation that requires the continuation of filming, she will be visiting the hospital again afterward.” Encephalomeningitis is a condition that involves an inflammation of the brain and meninges.

5. Jo Bo ah Says Lee Dong wook Considers Her Like An Older Brother

In an interview for Dazed Korea magazine, Lee Dong wook and Jo Bo ah talked about their working experience together. Lee Dong wook explained why he has come to rely greatly on Jo Bo ah, he said, “She's very mature, thoughtful and deep, and she’s so dependable that I rely on her a lot on set, to the extent that there are times I feel like I’m the younger one.” To this Jo Bo ah said, “Even though he’s her sunbae (senior) by far as an actor, he treats her like an older brother sometimes and this makes her feel comfortable.
