Actress Jacqueline Fernandez’s mother, Kim Fernandez, passed away following a stroke. Despite hospitalisation and all the medical efforts, she couldn’t be saved. Kim was admitted to the ICU of Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai, after suffering a heart stroke. Jacqueline immediately flew back to her home to be by her mother’s side.

Jacqueline was extremely close to her mother. A closed source to Jacqueline earlier revealed that she was scheduled to perform at the IPL ceremony on March 26, 2025 Guwahati. However, she opted out of the event to remain by her mother’s side during her recovery in the ICU. As reported by ANI, “Jacqueline’s mother is still in the ICU recovering. As the family awaits further updates from the doctors, Jacqueline has chosen to be by her mother’s side and, unfortunately, will be missing performing at the IPL ceremony." It has been reported that the funeral and last rites will be held privately, and only close family and friends will attend the ceremony. However, an official statement from Jacqueline regarding the ceremonial rites is yet to be released.
