Govinda-Krushna Abhishek Mama-Bhanja Reunion at Arti's Wedding: Family Feud Explained

The bond between Govinda and his bhanja (nephew) Krushna Abhishek was once celebrated, but it hit a rough patch a few years ago. However, their recent reunion at Krushna's sister Arti Singh's wedding has sparked hopes of them mending fences.

At the wedding, Krushna was overjoyed to have Govinda in attendance, expressing his happiness to the paparazzi. "I am very happy. It's a big day for Arti and each one of us. Mama (Govinda) came, and I am very happy. It's a matter of the heart. We are emotionally connected," Krushna said (ETimes). Kashmera Shah also revealed that Govinda blessed their sons.

Govinda-Krushna Feud Timeline

In 2016, when Govinda was promoting Jagga Jasoos, he made appearances on TV shows like The Kapil Sharma Show but didn't appear on nephew Krushna's show. A miffed Krushna told The Indian Express, "I messaged him again four days ago, but to my shock, I learnt that he and his wife were shooting with Kapil on Wednesday. I was aghast as I expected him to support his nephew."

Krushna had also cracked a joke saying "Maine Govinda ko apna mama rakha hai" (I have kept Govinda as my uncle) on his own show, which didn't go down well with Govinda. Krushna told the publication he tried reasoning it wasn't derogatory, but Govinda felt insulted.

Govinda's Side

Govinda said, "Krushna has been making money by insulting others on television. I was extremely upset with the 'Mama rakha hai' remark and summoned him home." He added he can't trust Krushna anymore after he made their personal interaction public.

Govinda's wife Sunita took offence when Kashmera allegedly referred to them as "people who dance for money" on social media after an appearance on Krushna's show. Sunita told ETimes it was none of Kashmera's business if they were paid.

War of Words

As the rift grew, Govinda accused Krushna of disrespecting him on TV by roasting the Khans in a different way. Sunita declared she never wanted to see Krushna's face again.

Despite the tumultuous past, their reunion at Arti's wedding marks a positive step towards reviving their relationship.
