Television actors Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim have confirmed their safety after narrowly avoiding a deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The couple, who had been vacationing in the region with their son Ruhaan, left Kashmir just hours before terrorists opened fire in Baisaran meadow, killing at least 26 people and injuring many others.
The couple had shared scenic pictures and videos from their trip, including moments with their son, on social media, just days before the tragic incident.

Shoaib Ibrahim Responds on Instagram
Shoaib took to Instagram Stories on Tuesday evening to reassure fans.“Hi guys, U all have been concerned for our well-being… Hum sab safe hain, theek hain, aaj hi morning me we left Kashmir… and we reached Delhi safely… Thank you for all the concern.. New vlog coming soon,” he wrote.
The actor later confirmed that the family had reached Mumbai, once again thanking fans for their support and prayers.
Fans Express Concern After Attack
After the news of the terror attack broke on Tuesday afternoon, fans flooded social media with concerns for the couple’s well-being. Many recalled that Dipika and Shoaib had recently posted updates from Pahalgam, a popular tourist destination.
Dipika had posted a video just two days prior, strolling through the same area where the attack occurred. These visuals sparked panic among fans once the news of the violence became public.
Pahalgam Terror Attack Shocks the Nation
The attack took place around 3 pm on Tuesday near Pahalgam, when terrorists opened fire on a group of tourists and civilians. With 26 casualties, this has been called the deadliest attack in Jammu and Kashmir since the Pulwama attack in 2019.

Bollywood Reacts: Celebs Condemn the Pahalgam Attack
The tragic event has drawn strong reactions from across the film industry. Akshay Kumar, Manoj Bajpayee and Kamal Haasan expressed grief and condemned the violence as “senseless” and “deeply disturbing.” Ritesh Sidhwani, film producer, called it a “devastating loss” and emphasised the importance of unity.
Sanjay Dutt stated, “This brutality must not go unanswered,” urging the leadership to act with strength and justice. Sonu Sood added that “terrorism has no place in a civilized society,” and wished for a swift recovery for the injured.
Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim tied the knot in 2018 and welcomed their son Ruhaan in 2023.
