HZ Tried & Tested: Garnier Skin Naturals Micellar Oil Infused Cleansing Water Review

During summers when you tend to sweat a lot and with so much pollution around, apart from regular wash extra cleansing has always been essential, especially for a greasy skin like mine. So I had been looking out for something to take off the grime and dirt from my face at the end of the day, before I followed it up with my face wash. That was when I decided to try out the much hyped Garnier Skin Naturals Micellar Oil Infused Cleansing Water, particularly since it didn’t contain parabens and is meant for all skin types.

Claims:

• Works as a great make-up remover and cleanser for heavy and waterproof make-up

• Removes 96% of make-up with just one cotton pad

• Removes dust, dirt, and makeup and requires no rubbing

• Contains Argan oil which deeply nourishes the skin

• Has a non-greasy and non-sticky formula suitable for all skin types

• Nourishes skin, leaving it clean and soft

• Gentle on the skin

The cleansing water comes in a modest transparent plastic bottle with a sturdy lid which ensures that the product doesn’t leak through.

The bottle also houses the ingredients, along with other details.

Consistency:

Garnier micellar water is transparent liquid with a little layer of oil settled on the top. The dispensed product, after being shaken well, is extremely light weight and non-greasy having water like texture.

It has a mild fragrance which is quite pleasant and isn’t overpowering at all.

My Experience:

This product definitely lives up to its promises. For one, it has managed to effortlessly take off the most stubborn and waterproof makeup, without leaving my skin (oily) dry. And it literally just takes a swipe or two to get the whole thing off, without rubbing and tugging your skin. All you need to do is, shake the bottle well (so that you don’t end up getting just the oil from its layer on the top) and pour some drops of it on a cotton pad and press it against your skin for a few seconds and swipe.

Taking off your makeup with this micellar water from Garnier is not a messy affair at all, as it dissolves the makeup while you press the cotton pad infused with the product on your face, leaving it clean, fresh and gunk free while swiping it away.

For me, it has managed to easily remove even the most stubborn waterproof mascara and matte lipsticks in a few swipes, without leaving the slightest trace of it behind.

Observation:

This product hasn’t left my skin or eyes irritated. Also, by not rinsing my face post its use (as instructed) sometimes, it hasn’t given me any breakouts. I have been using this garnier micellar water for months now and it has not given me any reason to complain or discontinue its use.

Verdict:

I am on my second bottle now, which shows how well it has been working for me! Undoubtedly, I’ll definitely be re-purchasing the Garnier Skin Naturals Micellar Oil Infused Cleansing Water again. It not only does an excellent job when it comes to removing waterproof makeup, but also works remarkably well to just clean your face (even if it doesn’t have makeup), as a part of double cleansing at the end of the day.
