Needless to say, when a brand that prides itself on living by the philosophy of ‘children and the earth’ makes its foray into this space, expectations are sky-high. Alia Bhatt's Ed-a-Mamma has officially made its foray into this space with its 'Your Baby Safe' range, which hit the market in early 2026. These are packed in cute little jute bags with retro illustrations, promising a 'no compromise on toxin-free ingredients' approach to baby care. How does this range fare against other big players in this space, especially since Ed-a-Mamma has been known for its sustainable apparel? I put six of the most popular products to test to find out if they live up to their promise of being not only gentle on baby skin but also on the environment.
These products are delivered in a lovely jute bag; the stuffed dog is a wonderful addition. Please find my feedback on the products below:
The cloth-like texture is excellent and more effective than competitors, requiring fewer wipes per use. While the 80-pull pack (₹269) is priced higher than competitors like Mother Sparsh (₹119 for 40), the quality and softness are superior.

The oil is light, absorbent, and has a pleasant scent. However, the current lid causes leakage; a nozzle similar to a moisturiser bottle would be more functional. You can use this product in winter as an alternative to coconut oil for babies under six months.

I appreciate that this is fragrance-free and contains nourishing shea butter. However, it does sting on irritated or scratched skin, and the packaging does not mention the pH level, which is vital information for baby skincare.

The chamomile and cucumber formulation is very effective. It leaves the skin and hair clean yet gentle, providing a calming experience before bedtime.

This formula is effective at removing odours without being abrasive or overly fragrant. The chemical-free composition provides great peace of mind regarding skin safety.

While I generally follow pediatric advice to avoid powders due to inhalation risks, this talc-free version is a safer alternative for those who use them. I found it soothing on my own skin, though the packaging is difficult to use as the holes must be manually punched.
