Hyper-pigmentation: Do you witness dark patches on your back? Does your back seem pigmented? If the answers to these questions are affirmative, we have a guide for you to get rid of hyper-pigmentation and get the skin glowing naturally.
You don’t have to go to a doctor and spend heftily because we bring you home remedies after consultation with Shahnaz Husain, a hair and beauty Expert.
She said that dark patches and pigmented skin usually occur due to excessive exposure to the sun. If the exposure continues at a higher rate, the pigmentation can increase.
Hence, she suggested applying sunscreen with SPF 40 or 60 at least 20 minutes before stepping out in the sun. The expert said that women need to take extra care of their back and shoulders while bathing or going for a swim. You should be using a long-handled loofah, brush, or washcloth to scrub the area gently.
Turmeric Scrub For Dark Upper Back
Beauty expert Shahnaz Husain said that you can make a scrub at home by mixing a tablespoon of rice flour with a pinch of turmeric (Turmeric Gel Recipe) and half a tablespoon of curd. You should apply the mixture gently on the exposed area, exfoliate the back using a loofah, and rinse it off with running water.
The ingredients in the scrub will help you get rid of dead skin cells and achieve a natural glow. Rice flour is also known to reduce the impact of UV rays and tone down the signs of premature ageing.
Oats For Dark Upper Back
Oats are another ingredient from the kitchen that can be used to combat pigmentation. Mix four tablespoons of oats with one teaspoon of lemon juice, one egg white, and a tablespoon of curd. Apply it on your back and shoulder and rinse it off after it dries. You can also apply it half an hour before bathing. Oats are good for exfoliation.
Egg White For Dark Upper Back
The beauty expert shared a homemade pack with yoghurt and egg whites. Mix two tablespoons of yoghurt, one egg white, a teaspoon of honey, two tablespoons of multani mitti, and 1/8th teaspoon of baking soda. Mix everything well in a bowl and apply on your back. Wash it off after 20 minutes.
Egg whites have been proven to help with pigmentation. Yoghurt contains lactic acid that reduces the appearance of dark patches, and fuller earth has a soothing effect on the exposed skin.

Lemon Juice For Dark Upper Back
Take a glass of boiled milk in a boil, squeeze a lemon (Lemon For Anti-Ageing) into it, and add a teaspoon of glycerine to it. Let it all stay for half an hour. You should not apply hot ingredients, or they will burn the skin. Apply it on the skin and rinse it off after 15 minutes.
You can mix lemon and honey in a ratio of 2:1 to clear the pigmentation of your back. When you apply it on your skin, rub it in a circular motion, and wash it off after 20 minutes.
