Constipation can affect anyone on any day. There can be various factors driving one’s inability to poop. In many cases, people prefer to have laxatives to regulate their bowel movement, however, it can affect you adversely.
While there are natural remedies to relieve constipation, there are a few yoga poses that can help you poop. This International Yoga Day,Kamlesh Singh, Yoga Instructor at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Science, Lucknow, recommended easy but effective poses to help you find relief.
Half Spinal Twist
People can try this pose on a yoga mat or a soft surface. You have to sit with straight legs. Bend your left leg and place the left leg closer to your buttocks. Move the right leg across your left knee.
Place your left hand on the right knee, and keep the right hand on the floor. Twist your neck towards the left shoulder and hold the position. After a few minutes, switch the position.
Supine Spinal Twist
You should do this experience on a yoga mat where your spine can remain straight when you lie down. First, lie down on the floor with straight legs and hands extended outside.
Take your left across right and hold the knee with your right hand. Stretch your head to the other side. After a few breaths, switch the position.
Crescent Lunge Twist
The crescent lunge twist in which you have to be in a lunging position. You have to twist your torso in this to help with the bowel movement. Lunge forward with right knee bent and left leg stretched at the back.
Fold your hands, bend the upper body towards the right leg, and hold for a few breaths. Repeat the pose on the other side.
Cobra Pose
Cobra pose (Yoga Poses For Stiff Shoulders) does not require you to twist any part of your body. However, it can prove to be beneficial to alleviate symptoms of gas. First, lie flat on your stomach. Place your palms on the floor, next to your shoulders, and lift your head slightly up.
With your neck, try to lift your upper body. It should exert a little pressure on your back and abdomen. Hold the position for a while and release.

Legs Up The Wall
It is one of the easiest poses to nail. The best part about this yoga posture is you get to use a wall in your house as a prop for support. You have to lie down on the floor with your butts touching the wall.
Gently lift both of your legs and hold them parallel to the wall. It should exert a little pressure on your abdomen, but will eventually help you poop. You should remain in this pose for as long as it feels comfortable.

Wind-Relieving Pose
It is one of the easiest poses, and anyone can do it to release gas and experience some relief from constipation. First, lie on your back and pull your knees up to your chest. You should pull one knee while keeping the other leg straight and keep switching between legs. You can also pull both your knees to your chest and hold the pose for a few breaths before relaxing. Along with yoga, you can also try home remedies for constipation.
